Ok so, today's easter.... Yea... Easter!!! Jesus's Resurrection? Yep....
Ironically, it's also the once every year "Shao Mu" I dunno wad's it called in English, or rather, i forgotten... But that's not the point... Point is, this day seems to also be the "Let's Pollute Singapore's Air Day" The 100M before the temple was total crap.... There were so many many cars, and so many "devotees" bringing stacks of incense and gold paper into them temple....

My dad was kinda lamenting about it, and asked us to get out of the car while he continue to drive slowly to some ULU place to park his car..... Wad made me chuckle first was the sight of 2 Traffic Warden(is this the right word?), the "The Agents of Fine" Yea.... It was like their day... There was like a whole line of illegally parked cars... Double yellow line.... Easily around 500 Cars might have got their little present from the GOV..... My dad joked "Today the government earned a few 10 thousand in revenue..." Yep... Do your maths now.... wad's 70 x 500? = 35000

I wonder if the traffic wardens get paid in commision for "fine-ing" people..... If every car, they get like just 1 buck... It's easily $500 for the day... And wad's more, there are more dumb dumbs, RUSHING to get fined, once a car get out of the double yellow line, another car rushes in.... COOOL...... The GOV mus be smiling their way to the bank...

Ok back to the temple... So we are inside.... I kinda prepared myself to face the hellish moments... But nth beats the real things.... People were rushing for a spot to place their food and burn incense.... Well, the first temple(Gong Ming Shan) was pretty fine... It was huge, and although there were still alot alot of smoke, and alot of ashes coming out from the "burning money and goods" area... it was still breathable, and the people there were pretty nice... It's kinda like the time to burn our offerings of cash and goods to our ancestors... It's is then, i realized this glich.... The bottom of the note wrote "hell bank corp Six Thousand" But the numbering at the side(U know like SG 2 dollar? the number 2?) It was 60,000.... Erm.... Is that considered counterfeit note in the netherworld? Ok so done let's go to the Collerbium, the least the Collerbrium(the place where u see your ancestor's urn of ashes) is nice and clean.... Becoz the temple has already imposed strict laws to disallow devotees to bring their incense inside.... But the other temple beside it..... ..................................................
Seriously... WTF.....
As the 4 of us(My Older aunt, dad, granny, and me) walked in... I was like "WAD THE CRAP" My dad said this in chinese "There's an old saying "SHI NIAN RU YI RI" This place.... "BAI NIAN RU YI RI" They never learn"

Ok, so let's see, u have a big dumpster at the entrance of the temple, wet and uneven ground... At the entrance you can see all the smoke coming from 1 cramped source, and u see devotees squeezing to get a place... (I forgot to mention, this temple, the praying area is like 1/4 or more the size of the Gong Ming Shan).. Seriously, wad the heck..... The buildings are building in such a manner that the place where we are praying, is kinda surrounded by the buildings, so basically most of the smoke will either stay around, or travel upwards.. (ok if u can't comprehand it's ok, I can take u there next year, and u know why i whine about it). And there are so little tables, all cramped together, not enough to cater to everybody... Some family even went to the extend of bringing their own tables..(impressive)....
Ok, so we managed to find a place... We wanna share it with a family beside us.... Typical "Kiasu" Singaporeans, the family tried to take as much of our space as possible.... We were like super cramp.... My granny kinda whine about it to my aunt, and I had to agree, "wad's going thru their mind, can't they see we are here? wad do they wanna do? A banquet? Wad? The family are all from HTM? and have to put their place in a perfect spaced manner?" Lol.....
And wad made me laugh was that the guy even light a ciggeratte, and place it there... As if he wanted to give the spirit a puff.... Ok.... Wait wait... At this point, u might be thinking I'm a radical Christian, bias and stuff.... Ok so let's say I stand at a Taoist/Buddhist point of view, ciggerattes? Aren't these shit the thing that killed the person? If he's dead, u feed him/her, fine, give money, fine... U want the guy to get hooked onto the shit again? And wad? Die again? Hun Fei Puo San? Lol.... Burining incense fine.... But U burn ciggerattes, dood, u wanna up the level of harm to the devotees there ah?

Then we go down to their Collerbium... Ok, let me give u a introduction to that particular temple's collerbium.... It's ventilation fan moves even slower than my house fan at speed 1... And the devotees there, as u can see, aren't as considerate... Bring their incense down... YES DOWN... that means B1... That means no window.... So, it means... The place is amazing hell...
When i went in there... My eyes were like screaming out, and were trying to run out from the sockets... Thank god my granny was a much more sensible than the majority, and decided not to bring the incense down...... I followed her down, changed the ribbon on the urns, and I quickly run out to seek slightly fresher air at the outside... Whew...

So thinking points... Why would the devotees subject themselves to torture like this? Keep inhaling smog, and think that this way, somethin good mght happen to them...
Are the spirits even able to eat the food? Or are we just basically stacking the food there, to let it absorb the smoke, so that it taste like "SMOKED BANANA, or SMOKED PAU" Wad u think this is? Salmon?

And the ciggerattes.... LOL.... Wad the crap dood...

So that pretty much wraps up the morning's adventure.... I'll blog adventure number 2 in the morning later.... Also happened yesterday.. LOL....
